Welcome to NurseInTheMaking! 💙
I'm here to make nursing school a little bit easier.
My name is Kristine and I survived nursing school...and you can too!
Nurse In The Making was inspired during my time in nursing school. I immediately struggled and decided to create my own study guides. These guides have helped me personally as well as many others make nursing school just a little more manageable.
I hope you find comfort knowing that everyone struggles at times. Nursing school is emotionally and physically draining. I hope these informative, clean, and simply guides help you navigate through all the information because there is A LOT of it in nursing school.
Please reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or just need a friend to talk to who's been in your shoes! Take heart: the challenges make you stronger. We are training to care for real lives, with real families.
YOU'VE GOT THIS FUTURE NURSE!
With love,
Kristine Tuttle, BSN, RN

The fact that I can’t understand I’m veryry smert
Thank you for your service to the medical community, and informing people as you have in this video. Have a spectacular day and Independence Day with your family and friends!
2 of my 3 son's had picc lines in their head. I think the nicu actually put a line in where the umbilical cord was temporarily. My oldest son was a preemie born at 33 weeks and 3 days, he weighed 4 pounds and 14 oz. My middle son had a terrible diaphragmatic hernia that pushed his heart all the way over to the right side of his little body. They initially had him in a twin size nicu room because they thought he'd need that ECMO machine but Praise God he didn't need it! He was born at 38 weeks I believe. When I was 4½ months pregnant with our first son, I had the worat headache of my life. My best friend was going to medical school and I called her and she said I needed to get to the emergency room asap. When I was wheeled back into my e.r. room, the Dr. was waiting and before telling me the results, asked if she could pray for us. I knew right then something was wrong because the only other time I'd ever had someone pray before delivering news, was my Mom having my little brother and I sit down and proceeded to tell us our Dad had died, back in 1999. Anyway, when the Dr. finished praying, she said "you have a hemorrhage in your brain the size of a softball and we need to get you to the icu NOW!" In the 6 days I was there, I was diagnosed with something called an Arteriovenous Malformation, AVM, in my right temporal and pariatal places in my brain. The neurosurgeon said I couldn't get anything done "until your body doesn't know you've been pregnant." I was discharged, still actively bleeding in my brain, and put on morphine and dilaudid for the remainder of my pregnancy with my first son. His initials, WJD, stand for What Jesus Did.
Oh, and with our second son that had the diaphragmatic hernia, he had the repair surgery the day after he was born. I didn't know until I received the bill in the mail, that after he'd let out his huge cry, that he'd had to be resuscitated 2 times right after he was born and I was still on the table. After they intubated him, they brought him to me to see him for the first time. I'm grateful for our 3 miracle babies! Our oldest is now 14, second is gonna be 9 in Nov., and the youngest son is gonna be 6 on 7/11.
Keep all the good work! We love your videos so quick and informative ❤

Thankk you for this, was just a bit confused with Digoxin. If it really lowers bp? Or not?
Your videos were definitely a part of my exam success...I aced the NCLEX-RN with 85 items...a BIG thank you! The video lectures refreshed my memory of important nursing concepts and topics... It boosted my confidence in taking this challenging exam... the lectures were well-explained, easy-to-understand and interesting.
Congratulations!🎉 All of your hard work has paid off! Thank you so much for letting me know that my content helped you to succeed. I am so encouraged! I wish you all the best in your new career. You got this! 🩺
Ms. M?
Was hooked up to ecg last week. Dr said I had abnormal ecg! LBBB! Couldn’t do the surgery till they figured out what was going on. Told me to not talk or breath deep, just relax. After a minute tech says I’m fine so surgery went on! No problems. They couldn’t see any signs of heart attack.
Them:Oh uh the patient is sleeping so uh LETS MAKE A VIDEO 😍😜😘
It's a nursing dummy, not a real person! 🙂
Pleace peform panto graph
I am Bangladeshi RN,i also but this book
One of my latest hospital stays I had a male ‘student nurse’ come and attempt my canula, it was very sore and I knew it wasn’t right as I have had SO MANY! Thankfully my bf walked in asked what he’s doing guy was foreign didn’t speak much English at all and he went got a nurse who told us he’s not even training yet he’s only applied and he was a DOMESTIC!! Never trusted any lone students again just incase 😂😂 but if 1 comes with a real nurse/dr Iam always very happy to allow the student to do their thing.
My first day I went to give a bed bath and she had passed away! I will never forget it! That's when I realized CNA s make crap money..went back to nursing school!! Cnas are under paid and over worked!❤❤❤but they keep the place running
My goal is the OR. ❤
I use "the King declared War" to remember for Warfarin
Great ❤
When you save one life you are hero, when you save handard lives you are a Nurse ❤❤

Awesome! 👏 You are so welcome! 🙂
Why is one lady using head as a support lol
Great question! CPR on young or small children can be performed using one-handed compressions while the other hand is used to hold the head back to be sure the airway is open as demonstrated here. On infants, you may see a similar technique, but instead of a full hand compression, it will likely be two-finger compressions that are used.
@NurseInTheMaking ok thanks. I though she was tired or something 😅
